Where is Tattoowean Farmboy from?
This may be a surprise, but the key members of the band are from the planet of Tattoowean.
They found themselves stranded on the planet Earth in current times ( like right now ) when they were mysteriously transported through a portal during a gig in the city of Nose Eyesley.
At this time, they reside in the Twin Cities in Minnesota.
How'd they get here?
It’s not fully understood how Tattoowean Farmboy got here to earth. Luke feels that during a gig on Tattoowean, one of the patrons was attempting to broadcast the show to his home planet and likely used technology he was not familiar with. In Luke’s universe, there were black market devices often used by shady characters to communicate with loved ones many galaxies away. These devices used unsanctioned technology because the technology was often found to be unpredictable. Luke feels that a patron may used such a device and mistakenly had it set to transport instead of broadcast.
However, this theory has not been proven. Luke believes that the entire bar of odd characters were transported here.
What kind of Music does Tattoowean Farmboy Play?
The band plays only original tunes that they wrote while on Tattoowean. At this time, the band has indicated that they do NOT intend to play Earth tunes.
The style of music is called Boggon. Named after the big, furry beasts of burden on Tattoowean. Boggon is loud, sometimes droning, heavy and often distorted music. It’s different, but not that different.
What is the background of Tattoowean Farmboy? When did they start?
The band, which was named Luke and the Dry Lips, first started in 2237 on Tattoowean. Keep in mind, a year is shorter in Tattoowean. Luke was fed up with his farming life and had enjoyed learning the basics of the guitar in his young adult years. So he started working on playing the guitar with the goal of playing gigs in Nose Eyesley.
When he brought up his druthers to his long-time friend, Biggs Skylighter, he was suprised that Biggs too had musical inspirations but had been too scared to tell anyone about it.
If Tattoowean Farmboy is from another planet, why do they have typical Earth Instruments?
Luke and Biggs are adamant that parallel universes exist as their elementary schooling covered the topic in Year 6. It is common for various items to span across the universes according to the educational books they were required to read.
Do the members of Tattowean Farmboy Want Help Getting back home?
No. Tattoowean is a treacherous planet.
E’Koba might, however, her cantankerous ways and absolute desire not to try to communicate anything to Biggs has the band in a state of confusion about her desires. She seems to only scowl and bang on the drums.
